CxO™ DELIVERABLE
Employee Technology Training
Employee technology training is the program that keeps staff skilled on the systems, policies and tools they use every day. DAG Tech's fractional CTO designs role-based curricula built on your own systems and AI tools, sets up the administration that gets training completed, and measures whether people actually work differently afterward.

The Short Answer
What Is Employee Technology Training?
Employee technology training is a managed program of role-based courses, custom materials and administration that teaches staff to use the organization's systems well and follow its technology policies. Many organizations own a training platform but cannot show it changed anything. The content is generic. Every role gets the same course. Nobody chases people who skip it. Training happens once a year. Success is measured by completion, not by results. Meanwhile new systems roll out with no walkthroughs, AI tools arrive with no guidance on how to get good results from them, and the acceptable use policy sits unread. A training program fixes this by starting from the behavior you want, then building the content, schedule and follow-up to produce it.
In a CxO engagement the training program supports the acceptable use policy, the BCDR plan and any new platform rollouts. Your fractional CTO designs the program and recommends who delivers each part. Security awareness and phishing simulation can be delivered through DAG Tech's X-Phish or another platform you already use. System and AI training can be built in-house, by a vendor or by DAG Tech, whichever fits.

Scope
What the Program Covers
We build training around the behavior each role needs, then make sure it is completed and measured.
Behavioral objectives
What each module should change, based on real incidents, support tickets, role risks and obligations.
Role-based curricula
A shared baseline plus tracks by role, for example finance on payment verification and executives on impersonation and travel.
System walkthroughs
Short guides for the platforms your staff use, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, your CRM or ERP.
AI tools in daily work
How to get faster, better results from approved AI assistants, plus what data can and cannot go into them.
Policy training
Plain-language modules that teach the acceptable use policy and other technology policies staff must follow.
Security behavior
Coordination with security awareness and phishing simulation, so reporting suspicious activity becomes routine.
Administration
Enrollment tied to onboarding and offboarding, scheduled assignments, reminders and escalation to managers.
Measurement
Assessment scores, report rates, time to report, support ticket trends and incident trends by department.
The Deliverable
What You Receive
- Training objectives mapped to roles, risks and obligations
- Curriculum table with module, audience, format, frequency and assessment for each item
- Custom material plan for your systems, policies and AI tools
- Administration model with enrollment, reminders and escalation rules
- Measurement plan with targets and a reporting cadence
- Sustainment plan covering onboarding, refresh cycles and content ownership
How It Works
How It Runs
- STEP 01
Kickoff
We confirm scope and collect role lists, systems, policies, incident history and any current platform data.
- STEP 02
Set Objectives
We define the behavior each role needs and map audiences to curricula.
- STEP 03
Design the Program
We plan custom content, delivery, administration and measurement.
- STEP 04
Readout
We present the program to leadership and agree who builds and runs each part.
When to Start
Signs You Need an Employee Technology Training Program
- New systems roll out and staff keep asking the same basic questions.
- People are using AI tools but getting inconsistent results.
- Everyone gets the same annual course, whatever their role.
- Nobody follows up when staff skip assigned training.
- You can report completion rates but not changes in behavior.
- Your acceptable use policy exists but staff have never been taught it.

FAQ
Employee Technology Training Questions
How is this different from security awareness training?
Security awareness training focuses on phishing and social engineering. Employee technology training is broader: your systems, your policies, AI tools and role-specific skills. We coordinate the two so security behavior is part of the overall program.
Do we need a new training platform?
Not necessarily. If you already have a learning platform, we design the program to run on it. If you do not, we recommend options that fit your size and systems, vendor-neutral.
What should we measure besides completion?
Assessment scores, how often staff report suspicious messages and how fast, support ticket volume on trained topics and incident trends by department. Reporting rate matters more than click rate.
Can you build training for our AI tools?
Yes. We design modules that show staff how to get useful results from your approved AI assistants in their actual work, along with the data rules from your policy.
How much does an employee technology training program cost?
The design is scoped in hours at the CxO rate, based on the number of roles, systems and custom modules. Your proposal shows the total before work starts.
